Pack Event HighlightsBlue and Gold We cannot take anymore reservations for this event as we have turned in the final numbers to KU and to Hy-Vee. The deadline was 5pm on Friday February 3rd. If you signed up for dinner we will have table assignments for you on the day of the event. If you signed up to attend the awards portion but no dinner we will have table assignments for you as well. If you did not let us know you planned on attending there will be very little standing room in the back of the auditorium due to the large number of people who signed up to attend. We will be posting the event schedule soon so check back often and thanks to everyone who signed up to attend this event, it's going to be amazing! Den Competition Congratulations to Cobra Patrol for winning the Webelos II Den Competition and the $100 gift certificate to anywhere of their choice. The competition is still underway between all other ranks so don't let up! There is another $100 gift certificate at stake! Pinewood Derby Results We want to give a big thank you to David Dock for the use of the Fire Administration Building. Fantastic facilities! Both Pack 3250 and our special guest Pack 3200 had a great time! Again, thank you to our Pack shoppers Jill Ring and Mary Clark along with everyone else that jumped in to help out, it really makes a difference to the scouts' experience. We had some great car designs this year: Taylor W. with the waving flag car and Anastasia P. with her brown mouse car, tail and wiskers included. We hope to get a couple of pics up soon.
Webelos II Pack Meeting The Webelos II did a fantastic job of planning and running our Pack Meeting, not as easy as it look huh. This was the last Pack Meeting for them as they will move out of our Pack and onto Boy Scouts in February so be sure to attend Blue and Gold to see them Cross-Over and wish them best of luck on their path to Eagle.
Webelos II's Check out the new Boy Scout Troop locator map on the lower right side of this web page. This shows most of the Boy Scout Troops of the Red-Tailed Hawk District and where they are located. We will be adding more along with those from Trailhead and Trails West. Remember, for the Arrow of Light requirement you are required to visit a Troop Meeting and partake in a Boy Scout outdoor activity. 4th Pack Meeting - December We had a great night with our surpirse being Mad Science doing "Up and Away" along with a demonstration of a Tesla Coil! See it is possible to learn something and still have fun. Harvesters We helped out at Harvesters on December 3rd and had 71 scouts and family members show up to help out. As a group we packed 1,375 lbs. of food for the back pack snack program and around 18,000 lbs of assorted meals. This shows was scouting is all about, thanks to everyone for participating!!! February 4 - 119th Street Cleanup We will meet at the Heatherstone Pool at 9:00am and do our community service of picking up trash along 119th Street from Blackbob to Pflumm. February 5 - Scout Sunday Wear you uniform to church to show support for Scouts! February 7 - Leaders Meeting Our Leaders meeting will be at Indian Creek Community Church at 7:00pm - 8:00pm in room 231. If your interested in seeing how the Pack runs, put your opinion in or are interested in working a position come along!! February 18 - Blue & Gold / Crossover Ceremony
Our annual Blue & Gold and Crossover Ceremony will be at the KU Edwards Campus in the new Best Auditorium. February 20 - Johnson County Nursing Home We will make our annual trip to the nursing home to visit with the residents and bhopefully brighten their day. This event does count towards the Den Competition. March 1 - RTH Rountable All leaders are encouraged to attend this monthly gathering. Leaders from other packs also attend and it make a great agthering time to discuss ideas and ask questions. It is held at the Church of the Nazarene starting at 7pm March 6 - Leaders Meeting The meeting will be held at the ICCC at 7pm in room 231. Anyone interested in becoming a leader or just wantng to help or see how the Pack is run is encouraged to attend. March 22 - 7th Pack Meeting As usual the Pack Meeting will be held in the Gym at Heatherstone from 6:30-8:00pm. March 23-24 - Pack Lock-In at ICCC This was such a great time last year the scouts asked for it again and here it is. We will spend the night in the rec room of Indian Creek Community Church and watch movies, eat popcorn, work on a belt loop or two and play some games. Don't forget to let us know if you are coming so we can be sure to have enough snacks for everyone! It will run from 6:30pm on March 23 to 9:00am on Mach 24th, family members are welcome as always! |
